In my quest for finding a clean skincare line to incorporate into my shower and moisturizing routine, I came across OSEA (oh-sea-yah) at the top of the year. I love it here and would be remiss If I didn’t share what you’re missing out on. I did a recent poll within my Instagram stories, where most stated they have not used the brand products, so I thought it would be a great opportunity to share insight and perspective. OSEA has so many awesome products; you can bask in spa like aromatherapy without leaving home.
ABOUT
Jenefer and Melissa Palmer are the founders of the brand which, began in their kitchen sink. OSEA was brought to life by Jenefer’s passion to create active, natural and clean skincare. What I admire most about this mother-daughter duo, is that they truly manifested seeds of faith and action into a fully-fledged beauty brand since 1996. The ocean is their biggest inspiration; seaweed is an active ingredient in the skincare line. We all are connected to the Ocean, Sun, Earth, and Atmosphere-which is where OSEA gets its name. The products are cruelty-vegan free and climate neutral certified.
PRODUCTS
The pictured products are my tried-and-true staples thus far. They’re just so divine.
ANTI-AGING BODY BALM
The anti-aging body balm is a daily must for me-I consider it a serum and lotion hybrid. It is perfect for warm weather season. I am now surer than ever that I am on pace to truly own an ageless beauty spot while strutting along to “Age Ain’t A Factor” by Jaheim at my next milestone birthday. Sings-“This story gets more pretty every chapter. Age ain’t a factor”. Ahhh yes, your girl is manifesting it and so can you. It will also require action so get on board tribe! I have gone through the period of cell turnover (28 to 42 days) with the body balm and can confidently say that I have seen positive improvements in skin elasticity and hydration. Coconut oil and Gigartina Seaweed help give the skin it’s elasticity, while Alaria Seaweed gives the skin a tighter feeling all over. The essential oils in the balm are passionfruit, jasmine, lavender, and rosemary.
OCEAN CLEANSER
The smell of the cleanser is lime centric and oh so soothing. I use it as a body cleanser, yet it’s an all-around and can be used on the face as well. My skin does not feel stripped or dry after use; the cleanser is effective in imparting hydration to the skin and nourishing it with vitamins and minerals.
UNDARIA ALGAE BODY OIL
The body oil is infused with seaweed and has a refreshing scent derived of passionfruit and grapefruit oil. It’s best applied right after showering while skin is still slightly damp to yield the greatest hydration.
UNDARIA ALGAE BODY BUTTER
The body butter is rich, creamy, and truly hydrating. I consider it on the thicker end with ingredients such, as whipped shea butter and ceramides. I tend to use this product most within the cooler months or before bed as part of my night routine.
SALTS OF THE EARTH BODY SCRUB
Face and body exfoliation is a must (It is of note, that I do not use the scrub on my face). Consistent exfoliation helps to fight ingrown hairs and involves the process of removing dead skin cells from the outer layer of the skin. The body scrub understands its assignment; it is filled with dead sea and Himalayan pink salts. This award-winning body scrub is a must have.
